By Dr. Naomi Fisher
and Eliza Fricker

5 Dec. 2024

At last, a book that has been written for young people that help them understand what burnout is and how to recover from it. Naomi and Eliza have included stories of their own lives as well as other peoples’ stories and this makes the book so much more relatable.

The book explains what burnout is, why it happens and why it feels so hard to recover from burnout. Eliza’s illustrations make the stories come to life and the practical exercises throughout the book give young people the opportunity to practice the strategies that will help them in burnout and on the road to recovery.

This is a great resource for anyone who supports young people at home or in the community to know what burnout in teenagers look like and also how to support them in their recovery. The book is full of hope for young people and I’ve recommended it as a must-read to the young people I work with, their parents and other professionals
